More than 50% of Americans will be diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder at some point in their lifetime.  These numbers have risen due to the stress from COVID, the economy, and other factors. While there is no single cause for mental illness, a number of factors can contribute to the risk including: trauma, a history of abuse; chronic medical conditions; use of alcohol or drugs; or feelings of loneliness or isolation.
