Passionate mathematician, former Federal Civilian employee, CEO and co-founder of Davis Unlimited Information Technologies, Inc. (DUIT), Denise Davis is a trailblazer in the fields of systems engineering, cybersecurity, and PKI services. Fueled by a love for math and inspired by her resilient great-aunt, Denise overcame early challenges, earning advanced degrees and dedicating 7 years to the Department of Defense (DOD).

In June of 2010, Denise, alongside her husband, Luther, a Navy Veteran, founded DUIT. As a women-owned small business, DUIT specializes in agile systems engineering, cybersecurity, and PKI services for the DOD and the federal government. Denise’s innovative approach aims to streamline processes and eliminate the red tape that hinders the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Denise’s journey includes a commitment to education, having pushed herself from childhood on welfare to graduate college with post-graduate degrees. Her dedication extended to the Department of Defense, where she applied her advanced mathematical expertise to critical defense projects.

Denise’s commitment to empowering others is reflected in the robust 8-week internship program at DUIT. High school seniors and college students are provided with hands-on IT skills training, creating a pathway for future workforce leaders.

Understanding the challenges faced by retiring or transitioning military service members, Denise initiated the DUIT DoD Skillbridge Program. This program offers extensive job training and career development opportunities to enhance the prospects for separating service members, bridging the gap between military service and civilian careers.

Denise gives back to her community through DUIT’s active participation with Wreaths Across America and collaboration with Baltimore’s First Fruits Farms. Denise also volunteers to provide free tutoring services in math to those pursuing a high school diploma or GED. By contributing her time and resources, she continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Denise Davis’s journey from overcoming adversity to becoming a successful entrepreneur and advocate for workforce development exemplifies resilience, innovation, and a commitment to making a difference in both the business world and the community.
